The Director Payroll Calculator
The salary, tax code, National Insurance category, Student Loan/Postgraduate Loan answers and calculated results you enter into the calculator stay in your browser. This includes the "Start salary later in the tax year" mode's selected first tax month. None of these figures, in either calculator mode, are ever transmitted to Verizome or to any third party, in any form — not in a request body, a URL, a cookie, or browser storage.
Success-event measurement
When the calculator completes a supported calculation, your browser sends a single fixed, constant signal to this website's own server (a same-origin request containing no arguments and no payroll data) so we can count how often the calculator is used successfully. That signal never contains your salary, tax code, NI category, Student Loan/Postgraduate Loan answers, or any calculated figure — it is the same fixed signal every time, for every user, regardless of what you entered. It is not sent for validation errors, unsupported cases, or system failures.
Lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests as the lawful basis for this narrow processing. Our legitimate interests are: providing a reliable and secure public calculator, and understanding whether the calculator is functioning and being successfully completed — without collecting your payroll inputs or results, and without building a profile of you as a visitor. This is the only processing this notice covers; we do not carry out marketing, advertising, or behavioural-analytics processing on this website.
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can do this by contacting us using the details above. Because the success-event signal is a single fixed, anonymous count with no identifier attached to it, we generally cannot locate or act on an individual objection to that specific signal, but you can still ask us to explain or reconsider this processing.
Cookies and identifiers
Verizome's calculator and website code does not deliberately create cookies, and does not create any localStorage identifier, sessionStorage identifier, or visitor ID. The calculation-success event described above contains no payroll input or result and no Verizome application-level visitor identifier — we cannot use it to build a profile of you or link it to any other visit.
Separately, Cloudflare, as our hosting/infrastructure provider, necessarily processes ordinary request/network information to deliver and secure this website (see "Hosting and ordinary infrastructure data" below), and — depending on the production security configuration in place — Cloudflare's security or challenge functionality may set necessary cookies for that purpose. This is infrastructure-level protection, not something Verizome's application code adds, and it is not used for advertising, behavioural analytics, marketing, or building a profile of you as a visitor.
This notice authorises none of the following, and none of them are in use: advertising cookies, behavioural-analytics cookies, marketing cookies, or visitor profiling.
Hosting and ordinary infrastructure data
This website is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Like most websites, Cloudflare's edge network necessarily processes ordinary connection/request metadata (such as your IP address) to serve the page and to protect the service from abuse, independently of anything the calculator does. This is standard infrastructure processing, not something Verizome separately collects or stores. It is governed by Cloudflare's own standard infrastructure logging practice — see Cloudflare's own documentation for details.
Retention
Success-event counts are recorded in Cloudflare Analytics Engine, which currently retains individual data points for around three months before automatic deletion, per Cloudflare's documentation. We do not separately extend or archive that data. Ordinary infrastructure/request metadata is retained under Cloudflare's own standard infrastructure logging practice referenced above.
Service providers
This website is hosted and served through Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and the success-event measurement described above).
Your rights
Because the calculator never sends us your payroll data, and the success-event signal carries no identifying information, there is normally no personal data of yours for us to access, correct, or erase arising from your use of the calculator itself. If you believe we hold personal data about you in connection with this website, you can still contact us using the details above to ask us to access, correct, or erase it, or to object to or restrict how it's used.
